Arnold as a Hitman in "The Ump"

After Collateral Damage explodes in theaters this fall, Arnold's next project looks to be a dark comedy called The Ump. The Austrian Oak would play a hitman called "The Ump" due to a strict code of rules he follows. On his latest assignment, he's waiting to take out the last of a trio of mob bosses and becomes a celebrity of sorts in the New Jersey town he's hiding out in.

This production is being put together by MGM and is based on a novel by Jim Cohen. It will be Arnold's first comedy since Jingle All the Way. It should start production in November, and afterwards, Arnold would then go right into making T3.

The Oak is 54 and looking better than ever!

Weeee'd like to take a moment
We have one thing to say!
A very Happy Birthday
In a very Austrian way!

Alles Gute zum Geburtstag!
Alles Gute zum Geburtstag!
Alles Gute zum Geburtstag Arnold!
Alles Gute zum Geburtstag!

And while I'm at it, Happy Anniversary to me and my wife Brittany, which coincidentally is the day before Arnold's Birthday, July 29th.

Post birthday messages to Arnold in Da Forum!

Gillinator.com has now been chosen as Arnold's official Fansite of the Month-- for the 2nd time! Only one other site has held this distinction (hint: they're mentioned elsewhere on this page) and now the Gillinator has graciously received it. I would like to thank Arnold tremendously for selecting my site again, and thanks to the hundreds of fans who check in here daily for their dose of Ahnuld! There's much more coming soon so be sure to "stay hungry" for:

Jonathon Mostow wants to direct T3!
3.27.01
Variety reports today that Jonathon Mostow, a young director who most recently did the submarine thriller U-571, is in talks with the producers of T3 to finally fill the vacant space of the ultimate sequel's helm. Having a director now will enable the film to start production immediately after the writers' strike is resolved. Mostow would be a good choice for this film, as he was able to create intense and exciting action in U-571 that was not just mindless, and characters with depth that you cared about. This is the same formula that Cameron has perfected in both previous Terminator movies. The quality of the T3 script is still in question, but hopefully Mostow would insist on it being refined since there will be a lot of waiting time until production starts.
