Another
Award for Arnold: Box Office Champ!
|
![]() |
On
February 22, Arnold Schwarzenegger will receive an award from the American
Film Marketing Association for his worldwide box office success in idependant
films. As you know, Arnold is very fond of his "Art House"
films which include Conan, Terminator, Red Heat,
and T2. He has alwats saught to work with independant film companies,
directors, and up and coming talent who in many cases have gone on to
be huge successes. This proves again that Arnold likes to take risks
and try new things, which is why he has had such long standing success
and demand in the industry while other girly action stars have come
and gone. His films have grossed a total of about $2 billion dollars
around the world, and his fans still can't get enough of him.
A lot of the American press likes to say how Arnold has lost his box office appeal because of the U.S. grosses for his last two films End of Days and The 6th Day, have been less than expected. But when you add box office gross in other countries, these movies have still taken in over $100 million, so saying Arnold's career is dead is a BIG MISTAKE! So congratulations Arnold! You still terminate the competition! |

T3
Production Put on Hold!
|

![]() |
According
to Variety, plans for Terminator 3 may be delayed until
after the Writers' Guild strike is resolved. The WGA's current TV-film
agreement expires on May 1, and if a deal is not reached between the
WGA and the movie studios by then, all of Hollywood will basically come
to a stand still. Hopefully this will not happen, since preliminary
talks between the two groups are beginning to happen.
UPDATE 1.12 A report from Dark Horizons confirms the T3 delay but also says that if a new agreement is settled on quickly, it could start production in July. Also, Arnold has NOT signed on to do T4 as of yet. He is waiting to read the script and probably to see how well the production of T3 is handled. Some rumors say that he could have a human role in the 4th movie as the soldier used to model the terminators after. The producers still plan to make it with or without the Oak. |
